Bridge To 100 Perspective on Harm Reduction
Bridge to 100 is dedicated to supporting geographically convenient, low- or no-cost, faith-based residential treatment and recovery for individuals seeking recovery from opioid use disorder and other substance use disorders. These centers use recovery models that address the whole person: mental, physical, and spiritual.
There are numerous options available for treatment and recovery for addiction. We fully support using all appropriate means at the right time and place administered by trained and experienced professionals, including M.A.T. – medically assisted treatment. Faith-based providers recognize M.A.T is an essential option, which we fully support, when administered at the right time, place by properly trained professionals. M.A.T. reduces harm and saves lives.
Our providers can begin where M.A.T. ends. They provide long-term assistance to individuals who want to build stable, substance-free lives in their communities.
M.A.T. can provide individuals with the opportunity to begin the road to recovery which would otherwise be lost. But long-term M.A.T. is not the answer for every individual in recovery. Recovery is a unique road for each person.
Because all have the goal of stopping the opioid crisis, we seek to work with all interested parties to stop the loss of lives in the short term and then continue toward long term recovery and restoration for all affected individuals and their families.
