Priorities and Achievements
Turn survey results into priorities and record achievements when they are earned.
After completing the Aspire survey, participants are asked to select specific indicators they want to improve.
These are called priorities.
Priorities help focus attention on the areas that matter most to the participant and create a starting point for meaningful change.
At CRCI, work with the participant to identify three priorities, using the low, medium, and high approach established by the program. Keep each goal participant-led and specific. Partners should follow their own agreed priority-setting approach.
Step by Step Process
For each priority, help the participant explain the barrier, choose an action, and set a timeframe using the prompts displayed in the platform.
1. What was holding you back?
Participants identify the barrier or challenge they were facing.
Example:
- “I didn’t have transportation.”
- “I was not managing my time well.”
2. What will you do to get it?
Participants describe the action they will take.
Example:
- “I will apply for a driver’s license.”
- “I will create a daily schedule.”
3. Set a timeframe
Participants choose a timeframe for completing the goal.
This helps create accountability and direction.
Setting achievements
Achievements mark real progress in a participant’s journey.
When to record an achievement
- When the participant identifies a specific accomplishment that can be documented accurately
- When progress is made in an indicator
- During follow-up or check-in conversations
Record what the participant says helped and who or what motivated them. Do not fill in a sponsor, peer, staff member, or reason unless that information was provided or directly observed. A baseline strength may be discussed without inventing progress from an earlier survey.
How to record an achievement
- Navigate to the participant’s profile
- Open the option to add an achievement.
- Select the indicator
- Describe the accomplishment in the participant’s own words where possible.
- What did you do to achieve this?
- Who or what motivated you to get there?
